Leaving the Museum of lace, crossing the Place of Mantilles and while penetrating in "the Historical Space of Life", it is possible for you, using an elevator, to reach on the third floor, the room.
You will be able to admire there the remarkable work carried out for the realization :
- of a street with its stores, its paving stones, its pavements with identical of the years 1930,
- of the centre town with the Town hall, the Basilica, the war memorial with the names of the 445 caudresians killed during the first world war with the precision of the date and the place of their death,
- of an important and interesting exposure using postcards, photographs, newspapers emphasizing the history of Caudry and all that is attached to it.

Everyday, except Tuesday and Sunday, from 3.00pm to 6.30pm.

Andre Flament, at the origin of this project, is a Caudresian impassioned by his city, its history and its inheritance since his younger childhood.
True collective memory of Caudry, this project of long date has finally been concretized in the centre town in spring 2003.
